What this page is for

Questions about the review itself: something that is unclear, a claim you have seen and want to know how it is graded, a source you think should be reflected, or a correction you would like to suggest. These are welcome, and corrections are made to the page rather than noted elsewhere.

What this site does not do

This review does not recommend for or against an operation and does not recommend one device over another. It does not offer an assessment or a consultation in relation to anything it describes, and it is not a booking page. There is no service offered here for device selection, for surveillance, or for any other treatment discussed.

Questions about your own care

A question about your own situation — whether an implant of yours needs assessing, what a scan showed, or which device might suit you — is a clinical question and belongs with a clinician who can examine you and see your records. The hospital’s outpatient channels are the right route for that, and the appointments page explains how they work.

If you have a symptom you are worried about

A change in the shape or size of a breast, a new lump, swelling that comes and goes, or pain around an implant is assessed by a clinician rather than discussed on a website. Contact the service that has your records and say which device you have, when it was placed and what you have noticed, because that information is what makes an assessment possible.
